Big Shed is a creative project where artists and musicians are given opportunities to play outside their main artistic practice. The bi-monthly blog and publications embrace a free-spirited approach, aiming to foster a vibrant creative community. As Creative Director, I oversee the curation and design of visuals, conceptualize in-person events, and the overall project vision. I am constantly learning new skills to execute new projects, such as our playable top-down video game.

An in-person event held at Urban Lounge SLC, where each band's performance was paired with video pieces created by the musicians, projected behind them and on a small TV at the front of the stage, along with custom stage set elements. We stretched the expectations of a music showcase by incorporating art on the stage, as well as displaying local art on the walls around the venue.
An in-person event held in a backyard, where art was melded into its environment (playground, garden, chicken coop, etc.). The night ended indoors with local bands playing while video art was projected on the ceiling above them. We aim to push the boundaries of your average concert.

Taylor crafts ceramics that conceptually explore themes of nature and human experience. Her work includes both functional pieces and gallery-ready creations. She envisioned a logo that embodies an organic feel and captures the tactile textures of hand-built clay pieces.

MILF Club is a vintage boutique based in Seattle, WA. The owner not only curates stunning vintage pieces but also enhances them with unique custom flourishes. For the logo, we aimed for a design that exudes boldness, glamour, and a vibrant personality.

Painted with members of the location's household as a project. I taught and directed non-artists to come together on this beautification effort. The imagery merges details personal to the family as well as capturing the spirit of play and nature.

Puppet design and fabrication done by hand.
Joan of Arc
Drawing inspiration from the historical depictions and descriptions of Joan, I sought to capture the grandeur of her story and the bravery she embodied through her feminine power. Every element is handcrafted, including the miniature chainmail. Standing at 9.5 inches tall, Joan features animatable joints, while still reflecting the limitations that come with wearing armor.
Her hair is also wire lined so it can be animated as well.
Gully Washer
Created for the Salt Lake City band Starr67 and their album visualizers, these puppets were inspired by the album's lyrics, which reference iconic American folk legends like Johnny Appleseed and Paul Bunyan. The band envisioned a full narrative, featuring characters like Sasquatch and a grumpy old man in the woods, to inspire my designs. The three puppets are smaller in scale to fit within a compact set and the band's budget. They are fully functional for animation, with replaceable limbs that can be swapped out in case of any unforeseen breakage during the animation process.
The eyes are within a head casing so they can be animated.
When animated, the details will include a small puff of smoke rising from the horse's cigarette, as well as movement in the wire-lined mane and tail.
Crafted from hand-dyed canvas and hand-sewn miniature patches, the costume reflects the character's rustic nature and remote lifestyle.
Pattern design for children is a huge passion of mine. This was a special commision from a Grandma for her first granddaughter. We wanted to merge feminity with natural elements.

Here's a few personal kid's fabric projects I hope to get put into production
This project was a collaboration with my sister Sarah, who has extensive experience in childcare and teaching. She identified a gap in the picture book market and saw an opportunity to address the topic of anger, helping children learn how to express this emotion constructively. Sarah developed the concept, outline, and initial ideas for the imagery. Together, we expanded this framework into a fully realized concept. I then brought the story to life with detailed and playful illustrations that capture the book’s emotional depth and engaging nature.
